„Specialized RockShox Rookies Cup“ und „Five Ten Kids Cup“
You haven’t heard of the downhill race at Katzenkopf yet? Then it’s high time you do!
Leutasch is a beautiful Tyrolean valley in the Olympiaregion Seefeld, only about 30 minutes from Innsbruck or Garmisch-Partenkirchen. In summer 2021 our brand new bike park Katzenkopf Leutasch will be opening here. Together with local supporters such as the TVB Seefeld and the MTB-Agency team, Katzenkopf Leutasch is organizing a downhill weekend for adults and children: the downhill race at Katzenkopf Leutasch is part of the well-known “Specialized RockShox Rookies Cup” series for young cyclists and is awaiting the numerous speedy downhill kids & teens with their parents as well as adult downhill cyclists from the region, the whole of Austria and neighboring countries. The race will also include a stop of the “Five Ten Kids Cup” – so little bikers between the ages of 5 and 10 will also get their parents’ money’s worth.
You can expect: genuine Tyrolean coziness, bikers and bike families, downhill race action and lots of fun in nature!

New Bike Park at the Katzenkopf Leutasch
It took over a year of planning and fiddling, but finally last autumn the construction work started on the long-awaited bike park at the Katzenkopf Leutasch, realized by an experienced crew with a lot of passion. In addition to a cozy Tyrolean atmosphere, from summer 2021 on you will find three new trails with different levels of difficulty, an uphill trail, a pump track and practice area as well as wonderful (e)bike tours. A brand new biking hot spot with casual race tracks, a magnificent panorama and an experienced team in the midst of Tyrolean hospitality awaiting you at the Katzenkopf Leutasch.
RACING-Summer 2021
Of course, due to the prevailing pandemic situation, the plans for this year’s summer are subject to certain uncertainties. We will do our best to ensure a safe race with many great moments for you.
All amateurs and licensed riders of various age groups (from U13 to U19 and Women) are eligible to start in the Rookies Cup. If the regulations allow it, there will also be a Men’s and Masters’ class. The race course starts right at the mountain station – this is the very first time a race will be held here. Jumps and speed mixed with forest soil and roots await the racers throughout 2.3 km down to the finish at the valley station. There is space for the paddock directly at the lift (for those who can no longer find a place there, spaces are offered close by). The Olympiaregion Seefeld offers accommodation for every taste – from cozy holiday flats to exclusive hotels – it’s a well-known fact that the region knows how to deal with ambitious athletes.
DER ROOKIES CUP 2021
At Rookies Cup, all athletes can have a first look at the race track during the track inspection on Friday afternoon. Training starts on Saturday morning and in the afternoon the seeding run will be the first really exciting event of the season – this is when the starting order for the final run will be determined. On Saturday evening, all bikers, parents and spectators can enjoy the “Pumptrack Challenge” at the valley stations pump track. On Sunday, the athletes will compete in different age groups starting at noon. Then we all will see who gets to be immortalized with the first top times on the Katzenkopf Leutasch. A cozy family bike festival for locals and guests – save the date!
DER FIVE TEN KIDS CUP 2021
With the Five Ten Kids Cup, since 2019 there has also been a suitable racing format for all age groups from five to ten years old to experience their first small competitions on two wheels. You could also call it the pre-school for the Rookies Cup. All kids with a little bike experience can take part – not only pros but also beginners! The kids can bike and race together, meet old friends and make new ones. They will get their first taste of racing in an age-appropriate and accompanied way, and two small competitions on bike technique and downhill are scheduled for Saturday. The event is organized by the MTB Agency team (in cooperation with Racement – the series organizer of the iXS Cups and the Specialized RockShox Rookies Cup).
We are looking forward to a great bike weekend with you!
